Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world

and most of the colleges and university buildings are

located in the centre of Oxford, within easy

walking distance of each other

Don’t miss the Bodleian Library, which has its own shop

and the nearby Radcliffe Camera, which is not open

to the public, but is well worth a

view from the outside

Town and gown is a term used to describe the two communities

of a university town; “town” being the non-academic

population and “gown” the university community

Oxford has a wonderful covered market where there is

lots to see and do and when you're tired of shopping

take a punt on the river or wander among the

wine bars and restaurants or relax with
a coffee in one of the teashops

There is so much to do in Oxford, just have a great day out!
